I’m not sure how the tradition started, or why, traditionally speaking, only women were invited to baby showers, and honestly I don’t feel like doing the research to find out. Regardless, I did not want to miss out on celebrating, and I also did not want to be the only male at the baby shower. So Grace and I agreed that we would do another baby shower with our friends, and this one would be co-ed (this was of course after days of me constantly asking why men weren’t invited). Also, isn’t it more fun to have more people present during a “party”? At least that’s what I was thinking. At the same time, it is impossible to invite everyone we wanted to invite (if it was up to me I’d invite everyone I know, but that gets expensive)…once again the similarities between baby things and wedding things!!

We had our co-ed baby shower this past weekend, and it was so much fun! Kudos to our friends Ashley, Brittany, and Richard for putting together an incredible party. Our house was packed and we wouldn’t have had it any other way. I think photos (slide show below) can describe the events better than anything I can write, so I’ll just say the following: My heart is full, and I’m incredibly thankful for all the friends we have. Thank you so much for coming out and celebrating our (soon-to-come) baby. Grace and I love you all!
